Your generous support allows us to create and improve immersive learning experiences for young people around the country. We strategically allocate our operating expenses into key categories including program development, staff training tools and resources, safety management, fundraising for national and regional initiatives, and other efforts to advance Outward Bound's national brand and educational mission. Each year, we adjust the allocations based on resources, demand and evaluation outcomes.

I came on this trip as a teacher, but I found myself learning alongside the students. This was an experience I wish was accessible to me and others like me when I was young. For the evolving learning styles and needs of our participants today and in the future. We are committed to serving more students each year and strive to provide the best Outward Bound experience to every student, every time.

Impacting Education and Youth Development:

Continuing to develop the industry’s best Instructors in the fields of outdoor education and social-emotional learning, we help Schools partner with more public and charter schools and youth serving organizations to broaden and deepen impact.

Focusing on Equity and Inclusion:

Delivering on our equity commitment by measuring and maintaining a consistent level of program quality while scaling to serve more students.

Strengthening the Alumni Network:

What happens post-course is where Outward Bound can make the biggest impact of all. Last year, an active national community of Outward Bound alumni grew to over 9,000 members.
